About
StampChamp was born out of the frustration of the inconvenience of carrying around stacks of loyalty cards (or forgetting them at home), and filling up one's phone storage with dozens of loyalty apps. The idea behind StampChamp was to:
- allow customers to use the same app to collect and redeem different loyalty stamps at independent businesses
- give small independent businesses access to an affordable loyalty stamp app, and
- reduce paper and plastic waste as well as storage space used
Execution
Our team carefully analysed competitor apps in the market and realised that most apps are either too expensive, only work for one store/chain, and/or require a physical device to issue stamps. Thus our team worked on a solution that was affordable, didn't require any physical devices and works at all kinds of independent stores.
The team worked closely with designers to allow businesses to easily set up their stores, and for customers to easily switch between different stores when collecting stamps. StampChamp was built using cross-platform technologies (React + Apache Cordova).
Results
Small independent business owners all over the world, from coffee shop owners in London to ice cream parlours in the US adopted StampChamp. The result was a:
